July 2011

Lauren Grey and Sophie Pilcher- both Year 10 students at Cromer High School also featured in the NNNews this week after a gifted and talented challenge event held at Paston College . The team form Cromer High won- glad to see that Lauren and Sophie are still going from strength to strength and wish them continuing success in the future.

Eleanor Ground- currently in Year 6 at MJS and just about to leave to start High School has been busily compiling a scrapbook, where she recorded activities during the holidays plus how they altered their behaviour in a bid to make their holiday ‘greener’. This was part of a competition on behalf of Co-operative Travel for their new brochure of responsible and sustainable holidays. Eleanor’s scrapbook was one of two which have inspired a new ‘Eco Kids’ holiday programme . Well done Eleanor- keep flying the flag for more ideas and innovations in this area! We are sure you will!

Katie Thompson, a stunning singer, who left us in 2006 has gone on from strength to strength! Her latest accolade is having a purple rose named after her due to her amazing lead role in the musical ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ last April. Rose grower Bill Legrice said ‘Katie so astounded everybody in Annie with her voice, so this rose is to celebrate that!’
Well done Katie- we are all sure you will achieve your ambition of working in musical theatre- a far cry from the 5 year old who sang ‘Mary had a baby’ so beautifully in your first school nativity play!
